We now have two weeks left of this Masterskip journey and are now waiting for a proper weather window to sail towards Svalbard. Hopefully to set sail tomorrow and go across the cold and icy Barren sea. The last week has been full of nice experiences in beautiful Tromsoe where we stayed for 5 nights while some plumbers came on board to fix our warm-water system.
This is my first Masterskip journey and I think it is very special to be on the first trip to the north with Noorderlicht//Reade Swan and am very excited for the next adventure towards Svalbard. Like always on ships we have a lot of work to do on board but because Noorderlicht is completely new for all of us! Outside the normal maintenance we have to build new systems and ways of doing things up. I am a new deckhand in the company and my responsibilities on board is of course the deck. Because we have no engineer, I am also responsible for the engine room. On this journey, I learned a lot and I enjoyed being part of Masterskip and this fantastic group!
